*DASH+ Fans To Wait A Bit Longer
An overwhelming response for the Open Jam scheduled at Smilin' Jack's on February 25th leaves *DASH+ fans waiting a bit longer to hear their favourite live music. Management of the popular restaurant has decided to overhaul their in-house sound equipment in response to the potential number of musicians and patrons attending the proposed event.
Tentative dates for rescheduling of the Open Jam are in late March and early April and will be announced on the *DASH+ website first.

Members of *DASH+ to Play at 'Open Jam' in Toronto's East End
Smilin' Jack's Restaurant, a well known and long-time supporter of live music in Toronto's east end, has announced an Open Jam on Monday, February 25th, 2008.
Along with many of their old friends and guest performers from past shows, the members of *DASH+ will be at the Feb 25th Jam to share in the music and fun of the evening.
Fans have been without the live sounds of *DASH+ since last summer, so this event undoubtedly provides them with a long-overdue night off for their CD players.

*DASH+ Back at Jack's.
*DASH+ was welcomed back to the stage at Smilin' Jack's Restaurant on Friday and delivered another great night of live music. Notably, Gord Walker (the band's lead guitarist) certainly "stepped up to the plate" and gave one of his best performances ever. The crowd was dancing all night long.
Not to be out-done, Andy Fong continued his practice of carrying the band to higher musical levels with his terrific bass playing throughout the night. Thanks Andy.
Certainly its no suprise to hear that *DASH+ can hardly wait until they're back having fun on this stage again.

*DASH+ To Play At "Second Annual" Bash.
*DASH+ was treated on the weekend to one of the nicest venues (and certainly the most hospitable) they've ever played at. Nathalie, Terri and a host of others put together such a fabulous and fun summer barbeque party that it was instantly dubbed the "First Annual" for this event.
Byron Stoehr filled in on bass and reminded *DASH+ what a treat it is to play with a musician of his calibre. Similarly, Mike Waters played his first gig on drums with the band and let everyone know that the future of *DASH+ is bright.
Even the Event Co-ordinator for the Oshawa Blues Festival was impressed with the band's sound and offered *DASH+ a set at this year's festival. Unfortunately, summer scheduling conflicts prevented the band's appearance this year, but undoubtedly they'll be there in the summer of 2008.
*DASH+ would like to thank everyone involved with putting together this year's party and they can hardly wait until next year's event.

Last Bash For *DASH+ Has Passed.
*DASH+ thrilled the packed house at Darlyn's as they played their final monthly gig at the fabled North Toronto venue.
After more than a year as the Darlyn's "House Band" the guys are taking a break from the rigors of the road. The band has elected to reduce their live date schedule, in order to concentrate on writing and producing their next CD.
Fans need not worry, however, as the band has confirmed to media outlets, their intention to fulfull all scheduled Festival and Fund Raising dates on their 2007 calendar.
*DASH+ would like to thank the management and patrons of Darlyn's for making the past year a very special time in the band's history.

Even on Friday the 13th, *DASH+ Leaves 'Em Smilin', Jack.
*DASH+ delivered yet another evening of great live music on Friday, even though it was also the 13th day of the month.
Undoubtedly at "great personal risk", the band overcame the potential perils of the day/date and still kept the crowd dancing and having fun until close.
Certainly *DASH+'s job for the night was made easier as Duncan McBain; just as he did the last time he played with *DASH+; simply mesmerized the crowd with an outstanding performance on drums. Look for *DASH+ back at Smilin' Jack's in the first weeks of June 2007.

*DASH+ Still Darlyn's of Popular Northeast Toronto Dance Spot
Following their monthly dance parties throughout 2006, *DASH+ kicked-off the 2007 series on Saturday night with another energetic performance at one of the area's few remaining "live-music" venues. Again in 2007, Darlyn's Pizza & Pub will be the place to catch *DASH+ live on the last Saturday of each month for a night of dancing and great music. *DASH+ returns to Darlyn's on April 28th.

The Portly Piper Welcomes *DASH+
On Saturday night, the band was very pleasantly welcomed by a large and appreciative audience at this well appointed venue in Ajax.
Only a few days earlier in the week *DASH+ was called upon to fill the Saturday night spot and the band (with the help of Andy Fong on bass) was equal to the task.
The night was a terrific introduction for the band to this section of the Greater Toronto Area and 2007 will undoubtedly include many more *DASH+ performances throughout the Durham Region.

New Year's Eve Bash with *DASH+ Celebrates the Arrival of 2007
The extended serving hour for New Year's Eve meant *DASH+ fans could celebrate the arrival of 2007 until 3:00am with their favourite band, and the packed dance floor proved they were more than equal to the task! Even into the early hours of New Year's Day 2007, standing room only was of little concern as partiers continued to groove on and around the dance floor.
The very appreciative audience continually cheered for the fabulous sounds of Giles Pillai on drums and Mick Cavanagh on vocals and for the ripping solos provided by Geoff Campbell on keyboards and Gord Walker on lead guitar, lap steel guitar and mandolin. The *DASH+ faithful were also treated to the solid rhythms and solos (yes, solos!) from Byron Stoehr on bass guitar throughout the evening (Thanks for playing, Byron. We hope to do it again soon!). Even without Terri Cosgrove on acoustic bottles, the evening was a tremendous success... still *DASH+ is hopeful for an appearance from Terri in the near future!
*DASH+ would like to thank everyone who provided such tremendous support throughout 2006... you've all made it a very spectacular year for the band. *DASH+ wishes you and yours nothing but the best for 2007.

Season Finale at Darlyn's for *DASH+ Fans
Completing the 2006 schedule of monthly dance parties, *DASH+ provided one of their best shows ever to a very enthusiastic and fun audience at Darlyn's Pizza & Pub on Saturday night.
In acknowledgement of their very entertaining performances throughout 2006, management of the popular northeast Toronto venue quickly booked 2007 with the band.
Accordingly, *DASH+ very happily returns to Darlyn's again on January 27, 2007 to kick-off another year of dance parties on the last Saturday of every month.

*DASH+ Back Smilin' Again
After their frightful night of scary fun hosting a Halloween Dance Party, DASH returned to Smilin' Jack's this weekend along with special guest appearances from two of their favourite musicians.
As always, Andy Fong provided terrific grooves and solid rhythmic support on bass while Duncan McBain's drumming; particularly in DASH's version of "Hard To Handle"; was legendary.
"Uh... Geeze... WOW... ??" was all Gord Walker (DASH's Lead Guitarist) could stammer when asked how and where Duncan could produce such awesome sounds from a drum kit that only includes a snare drum, kick drum, high-hat and a cymbal or two.
*DASH+ will be back Smilin' again at this venue to usher in 2007 with a NEW YEAR'S EVE party that promises to finish off 2006 with the best party of the year.

*DASH+ Fans "Killed" by Next Walker Generation on Guitar
Halloween ghosts, ghouls and goblins eerily haunted DASH's sound system to start off the party, but the killer sounds from the next generation of guitar player in the Walker family just would not die.
Scott Walker (son of DASH's Lead Guitarist, Gord Walker) had the scary crowd shrieking throughout the entire first set of DASH's Halloween Dance Party. His solos, particularly in "Money for Nothin", had every skeleton in the place rattlin' on the dance floor.
Near the midnight hour, fevered howls from fans awarded prizes to the undead for their best costumes... but were they, in fact, wearing costumes?

Wild Nights at Saini’s Raises Security Threat Issues for *DASH+
The always enthusiastic “East Coaster’s” crowd were at their rowdiest as DASH took to the stage for back to back nights at Saini’s this weekend. Crowding the dance floor, and singing along with the band, the audience participation factor approached fever pitch. Although grateful for such overwhelming fan support, band concerns started to rise, as the ineffective security staff failed to restrain over-exuberant fans from rushing the stage.
Concerns for the band’s personal safety, as well as disquiet regarding damage to instruments and gear, has raised concerns as to whether or not DASH will return to this once-favourite venue. When asked if he would ever play “Saini’s East Coasters” again, guitarist Rich Deathrisk stated “Not until they hire some sober, competent, bouncers”.
DASH is also considering hiring their own security crew for certain venues.

Big Birthday Bash with *DASH+
Balloons, streamers, cake, and candles were the order of the evening as *DASH+ helped celebrate the birthdays of super-fans Stella Cellucci and Marg Cavanagh!! Champagne kisses and birthday cake dreams helped *DASH+ commemorate this special day with these special ladies. Smilin’ Jack's was the venue for this night of revelry and celebration and *DASH+ returns for another night of fun on Friday, November 17th, 2006.

*DASH+ Fans Party Down Even Though Summer's Up
The traditional "End of Summer" weekend was heralded in by *DASH+ as fans danced the night away at Darlyn's Pizza and Pub. The Labour Day crowd spent their Saturday night boppin' and weavin' to the danceable ditties of Scarborough's favourite party band, *DASH+.

*DASH+ Celebrates the Past at Anniversary Bash
*DASH+ was honoured to be part of Mike and Margaret Cavanagh’s 44th Wedding Anniversary this weekend. The happy couple kicked off the evening with a delightful garden party, in their glorious, water-featured backyard. The party then moved to Smilin’ Jack’s, where *DASH+ provided the musical accompaniment to a fun filled evening of reminiscence, romance, and Rock ‘n’ Roll!
Without question, the Cavanagh’s ARE DASH’s greatest supporters, having been in attendance at ALL BUT ONE DASH gig!!! (They can be forgiven that “one”…they were in Hawaii at the time!) The band is eternally grateful to Mike and Margaret for all their wonderful support, and wish them many, many more years of marital happiness.
Here's to Mike and Margaret! CHEERS!

Hosts First Monthly "Rock & Roll Party Night" at Darlyn's -
A Huge Success
Darlyn’s Pizza and Pub will never be the same, now that DASH has ushered in a new era of musical entertainment. In their debut performance as “House Band” DASH hosted the first, monthly “Rock ‘n’ Roll Dance Party” at the popular Scarborough venue.
The crowd danced and sang to some of their favourite classic rock, and blues tunes. The band thrilled the audience with their diverse setlist, as well as numerous spontaneous requests. From B.B. King to Z.Z. Top, DASH gave their all to the delight of the “Darlyn’s Party Pack".
The next monthly “Rock ‘n’ Roll Dance Party” will be hosted by DASH at Darlyn’s on Saturday, August 26. Don’t expect to find a seat, unless you arrive VERY early.

Drives Crowd In Saini's
Returning to one of their most popular venues, DASH rocked the house at Saini’s East Coasters. Back to back shows on Friday and Saturday had the house rocking, and the joint jumping. The always boisterous Saini’s crowd, were on their feet the whole night long, dancing, and grooving to one of their favourite bands.
This weekend marked the debut performance of Pauline Blackwood, as the band’s new bassist.

Pack's Jack's
It was “Standing Room Only” at Smilin’ Jack’s on June 16th, as DASH filled the house with great music and an even greater crowd. Friends, fans, family, and fellow musicians crowded the popular Scarborough party spot to capacity on Friday night. The dancers were on the floor from the first note to the last chord, as DASH provided their audience with the “good time” music they’ve become famous for.
Reaction to DASH’s performance was so positive, the club owners immediately booked the band for two more dates, August 18 and September 15. The band would like to acknowledge their very “Special” Agent", Stella Cellucci for negotiating these gigs.
DASH would also like to thank everyone for providing such great support to the band. We look forward to entering our second year together, and hope to see you all at our upcoming gigs.
Check back often, as new dates are being added all the time.
Keep living the DASH!

*DASH+
together again with JABOOGIE
It had
been a few months since *DASH+ had the pleasure of
playing the bill along side of Toronto's own, JABOOGIE and the two bands kept
the crowd at Smilin' Jack's dancing until closing. On Saturday night, the
smooth rhythm and blues sounds from JABOOGIE; as it always does; completely
captivated everyone in the house.
In similar fashion, (and along with Dave Jameson from SEAGOE on bass - thanks Dave) the party atmosphere kept rollin' along each time *DASH+ took to the stage. Fans were even treated to a special guest appearance by Keith Ross on guitar for a few tunes. *DASH+ is back again at Smilin' Jack's next Friday night to keep the summer fun happening.

*DASH+
to Become Darlyn's House Band
After another night of non-stop musical madness, *DASH+ was asked by management to assume the role of "House Band" at Darlyn's Pizza and Pub! The overwhelmingly enthusiastic response of the audience on Saturday, inspired Club Manager Amin to ask the guys to play the venue on a regular, monthly basis.
Beginning July 29th, *DASH+ will appear at Darlyn's on the last Saturday of each month. This promises to become THE Rock 'n' Roll event in the North Scarborough area. DASH's highly danceable "Classic Rock 'n Blues" sound is music to the ears of the more mature audience, while the "Old-time Hardcore" aspect of their music has found a following amongst the younger crowd. If you enjoy listening and dancing to great music, having drinks with friends, shooting some pool, and savouring the best hand-made pizza this side of Yonge Street, then be sure to be at Darlyn's on the last Saturday night of each month.

DASH's
First Anniversary Bash
The band's first year together was celebrated at an
intimate 'private party', held at one of the first venues the band ever played
at. Naturally the band extends their sincerest thanks to all of its fans
for their terrific support and looks forward to providing even more great
dancing and listening pleasure in the upcoming year.
The party was kicked-off by Seagoe, and while the rest of their band got to enjoy the party throughout the night, their leader Dave Jameson (songwriter and lead guitarist for the group) then pulled double-duty as a special guest bassist for DASH. Thanks Dave. Dash returns to Darlyn's Pub for another night of fun on Saturday, June 3rd.

DASH
Has Them Hopping on Easter Weekend.
The joint was hopping as DASH rocked the house Easter
Weekend. Saini's Eastcoaster's on Keele Street was the scene of two
back-to-back nights of great music and dancing with DASH hosting the party.
Despite playing until Sunday's early morning hours, DASH STILL had to return
to the stage, amid cries for "ONE MORE SONG" to placate the
legions of fans, anxious for more of the band.
DASH and the great crowd at Saini's Eastcoasters are, once again, getting back together for two more nights of partying on Friday & Saturday, July 14th and 15th, 2006.
Easter weekend also marked the final gig with original bassist Shaham Kaveh. "Fez" as he's known to DASH fans, is taking time to pursue personal and professional obligations. He will be missed by band members, and fans alike. Fez...we wish you well for the future, good friend.

DASH
brings out the Irish in everyone at a St. Patty's weekend gig.
Starting Friday night and ending some time Sunday morning,
DASH brought the taste of Ireland to Saini's Eastcoaster's for two nights,
making it a St. Patty's weekend celebration.
Special guest appearances including accordion music and an opening set by Toronto's own Seagoe, left even the Leprechauns feeling like they were at home. DASH returns to Saini's Eastcoaster's on Easter weekend for two more nights Friday & Saturday, April 14th and 15th, 2006.

DASH packs Cabbage
Patch Lounge to Standing Room Only.
The band's appearance at the Cabbage Patch Lounge in
